Crystal Pastis is a horror film writer and director living in Los Angeles, California.
At a young age Crystal fell in love with filmmaking. Works by Johnathan Demme to Wes Craven served as inspiration to create her own horror. In 2016, she wrote and directed, Vanilla Cake. Since the film's release, Vanilla Cake, has since gone viral on the internet with close to 4 million views in addition to winning several awards.
Crystal directed the film Forty-Nine Fifty, which took the 2018 festival circuit by storm winning the California Women's Film Festival - Official Selection 2018, Women’s Independent Film Festival - Official Selection - 2018 and CReativity's Shakti Festival - Official Selection - 2018.
Based of the success of her pervious films, Eli Roth's online horror platform, Crypt TV, took notice. They asked her to come onboard and create horror content for their online fanbase.
Crystal is constantly working toward bring nightmares to life. She is currently in production of several music videos and a feature film.
